MAKING SPACE
11 FEB – 17 JUNE
‘Making Space’ is a social practice project in collaboration with the Trinity Art Group (TAG), a community of individuals who have experienced or are vulnerable to homelessness, mental health issues, and social isolation.
This project brings together TAG, Winchester School of Art, and local professional artists, led by Art Facilitator Alastair Eales, and aims to dissolve physical and social barriers through creative workshops and foster more inclusive models of cultural engagement.
At the core of ‘Making Space’ is the idea that space can be transformed through artistic expression, making it not just a place for creating objects but a place for igniting change. Through their use of everyday materials to create costumes, props, and other objects, this convergent community asserts their presence in their surroundings and prompts meaningful conversations about belonging and identity.
