Words & Pictures: An exhibition of original prints

Katherine Anteney is a printmaker from Southampton, Hampshire. Her main practice is linocut and letterpress.

She studied at Winchester School of Art and graduated with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art Printmaking in 2004.

In 2004 she co-founded Red Hot Press in Southampton; an open access print workshop which caters for relief and intaglio printmaking techniques, screenprinting and letterpress. Katherine takes inspiration from a wide range of sources: ancient landscapes, folk tales and songs, the strangeness of language, cycling and swimming. She also very much likes frogs and tortoises and very much dislikes the international trade in arms.
