Flight Above The Homeland

This painting was inspired by my last visit to my home country in December last year. It depicts the view of my home city seen as the plane was taking off, saying good bye to a homeland covered in the first snow of the year. The colours and the textures I created in my painting are meant to be evocative of my feelings of sadness and nostalgia, enhanced by the crisp beauty of the land in the cold December morning.
