Sound of the Sea
Wire and mixed media
This sculptural drawing was created after sketching The Solent on a windswept stormy, day. The sounds of shingle rolling up and down the beach with the waves crashing upon the eroded sea defences created a profound and sensory experience. The power of the water was both inspiring but also terrifying; hence the glimpse of pale blue sky contrasting with the dark foreboding tones of the battered shore and turbulent water.
