Royal Pier
Paper, Tissue Paper, PVA, Indian Ink
Royal Pier was opened on 8 July 1833 by the then Princess Victoria as Victoria pier. The pier has been rebuilt numerous times over the years, due to incidents such as gribble worms and damage caused by a ship, but a fire in 1987 destroyed most of the pier structure which has been derelict ever since. The piece was created by burning paper to reflect the state of the famous pier.
