Navigating Creativity

Throughout this academic year, students from Compass School attended photography sessions at In Focus Education and Development, based in the heart of Southampton.

Compass students have learnt about DSLR cameras, how they work and how to use them to capture the world in their own vision. The students worked with studio lighting, professional lenses and light boxes whilst learning the technical elements of digital photography. In addition to mastering technical skills students spent time looking at the work of famous photographers which helped inspire their practice.

This exhibition showcases the student’s photographic work, including prints and a selection of handmade photobooks that chart their personal achievements and progress.
