Journey

As well as re-imaging the physical Journey the Mayflower and its passengers took across the Atlantic Ocean artists have used this theme as a way to explore different types of journeys: physical, spiritual, fictional, metaphorical and personal, and the motivations behind them.

Many of the works in this exhibition were made at a time when travel became heavily restricted and this is reflected in many of the submissions.
