Volunteering – Southampton City Art Gallery

Volunteering

“Working with volunteers is always so rewarding. It’s inspiring to see people bring their skills, knowledge and energy to our learning sessions and workshops – volunteers and participants get so much out of the experience.”
Emily, Learning and Engagement Officer

Our dedicated community of volunteers help us to make our visitor’s experience a memorable one. From learning workshops to special events, volunteers have helped to ensure the continued success of the Art Gallery and the visitor experience. We welcome volunteers of a variety of ages and backgrounds, all with one thing in common – a love of sharing art!

Volunteering could be for you if you would like to:

  • Share your knowledge
  • Learn something new
  • Enhance your existing skills
  • Meet like-minded people
  • Volunteer at a nationally recognised art gallery

We recruit volunteers aged 18 and over on a monthly basis to available roles. Please use the contact form at the bottom of this page to let us know you are interested in volunteering with us!

Once we have your form, we will get in touch to let you know when the next round of recruitment will take place and to invite you to come along.

If you have any questions about volunteering at all, please feel free to contact the Volunteer Coordinator by email.
