The Main Hall – Southampton City Art Gallery

Southampton City Art Gallery Main Hall

The Main Hall features annually rotating displays that showcases Southampton’s internationally renowned permanent collection. The paintings and sculptures are currently arranged to demonstrate the collection’s ability to tell the story of western art from the Renaissance right through to the present day, featuring examples of 18th and 19th century British painting, French impressionism, 20th-Century British art, and works made by contemporary artists.

Also on display are artworks from the collection, selected by the community as part of a public vote.
